Candy Coated Masquerade

Mel interrupts this regularly scheduled Melismatic Blog Post for a very special announcement:

My girls in Candy Coated Chaos have unleashed upon the world a brand new song, entitled "Masquerade", which will be a part of their upcoming debut album. "Masquerade" is the first of a handful of new songs that will soon be premiered on their MySpace.

"Masquerade" continues their electro-pop meets 90's throwback sound that makes them so unique and so incredible. The song sounds very new school Britney, and the opening warbles sound very "If U Seek Amy" (and I mean that in a ridiculously good way). It's pop in the very best of ways. It floors me how these girls can continue to turn out tracks that just get better and better as time goes on. But "Masquerade" ranks right up there for me with my other faves by my fave Chaotic group ("Treat", "Utopia" and "Angel" -- all one word titles...hmmm...interesting).

I have it on good authority to say that the girls have recently finished a new photoshoot for single covers for both this song and "Utopia", which was co-written by one Mr. Simon Curtis.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled blog reading.
