"I'm ready for this to be massive in the US." I wrote that about Aussie synth band Strange Talk almost exactly seven months ago after seeing their set at The Westway during CMJ Week last October. Since that day, the band has dropped their fantastic debut set Cast Away here in the US on the back of a handful of fun, energetic dreampop. The steam engine that is their career continues next week when they return to NYC for two shows at the iconic Mercury Lounge and the Brooklyn hotspot Rough Trade. I'm looking forward to seeing their full, post-album release set after positively devouring Cast Away.
