[WGO] Chris Brown, Idol & Other Randoms...

-It's just not a good time to be Chris Brown. Like hardcore. Breezy may look cute and harmless in the picture to the left, but that image is, as Justin Timberlake warbled, "Dead and Gone." Because apparently, D.A.'s want to charge him for all kinds of stuff stemming from the Chriannagate attack on Grammy day, including a potential charge of attempted murder. That is no joke.

-Lynyrd Skynyrd's bandname is misspelled on the cover art of the latest addition of Guitar Hero (dubbed Guitar Hero: Metallica). Their name is written as "Lynyrd Skynrd". Rolling Stone was the one who apparently first spied the mistake. My question is: why is Lynyrd Skynyrd featured on a game that highlights Metallica music?

-Remember these names: 'Idol' has announced its first three semifinalists: Alexis Grace, Danny Gokey and Michael Sarver. Mel's fave of the three? Gokey, for sure. His version of "Hero" really did blow me away in terms of an early season performance, but I'm not so sure I dig the fact that he uses his wife's death as a sympathy plot. Yes, I know, I sound heartless for saying that...it's just...I don't know. It feels...off. We'll see how he and the other two stack up against the six other fan-chosen semifinalists. Just as long as Tatiana Del Toro is gone for good, and not brought back as a wildcard. Please say it ain't so!

-E!Online has a stack of quotes by Kanye West via his cover story with Details, out this month, as well as a story about a video game "remix" he "program" that I can only describe with one word: disturbing.

the makers of Guitar Hero shouldn't feel too bad, it's a miracle anyone ever spells Lynyrd Skynyrd's name correctly
