Music History Lesson of the Day

-Last year this week, Alicia Keys' "No One" is#1, edging out OneRepublic/Timbo's "Apologize". It's hard to believe it's been a year, already.

-10 years ago this week, R. Kelly's duet with Celine Dion (yes, really), "I'm Your Angel", hits #1. This was long before he was a child molester trapped in a closet. Can you imagine?

-15 years ago this week, back in 1993, my true love for music began. I may have only been six years old, but I knew all the words to the #1 song in the country: Meat Loaf's "I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)". Infact, I think I'm gonna go blast that right now. In second place -- my favorite Janet Jackson song ever: "Again". If you've never heard that song, please let me know so I canschool you. :) In fact, the entire Top 10 was full of hits that still sound awesome today: Ace of Base's "All That She Wants" (#3), SaltN Pepa's "Shoop" (#4), Mariah Carey's "Hero"(#6), Toni Braxton's "Breathe Again" (#9),Tevin Campbell's "Can We Talk" (#10). Can't we go back in time?
