Attention K-Mart Shoppers...

...We have a new #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. And it's about time, too. I was growing weary of that T.I./Rihanna stomper "Live Your Life." You can only take so much of that "Numa Numa" sample, after all.

So what's the new best song in America?

After seven weeks on the chart, that title belongs to Ms. Sasha Fierce with "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)". The song is also #1 this week on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs. This song is Beyonce's FIFTH #1. Her "other" single "If I Was A Boy" is #3 this week.

"Single Ladies" has interuppted the long time reign of T.I. on the Hot 100 chart. He first hit #1 in early September with "Whatever You Like." The song stayed at #1 for five weeks, interuppted only once by Pink's "So What", to be replaced by T.I.'s other song "Live Your Life" for one week. Britney's "Womanizer" managed to squeek in the week after, but ever since it's been a reign of "Whatever You Like" and "Live Your Life."

Kudos, Beyonce. This is the only song besides "Halo" I like on your new record(s). So to all the single ladies out there, bust out your random mechanical finger and rejoyce!
